FLOE Floating Docks
Made for years of trouble-free use
Heavy duty extruded aluminum frame and foam filled molded floats
Floe’s rigid, heavy duty extruded aluminum frame is the backbone to the floating dock system. It provides a solid, stable base for the walking surface and is supported by foam filled, rotationally molded floats.
The heavy duty outer frame also incorporates a patented track system which allows you to create floating modular dock configurations and add hinges, guide poles and other accessories anywhere along the dock side. An underside track system enables floats and anchoring systems to be attached.
Rugged, long-lasting, foam-filled floats are made of virgin polystyrene resin containing UV inhibitors. Impervious to gas, oil and other chemicals. Can be attached anywhere to the dock frame with FLOE’s exclusive track system. FLOE floats are filled with steamed polystyrene foam for added strength and reduced water absorption. FLOE dock floats are backed by an industry leading full 15 Year Limited Warranty, which meets and exceeds USACOE specifications!
Quick Release Hinge System
FLOE’S floating boat dock sections include a quick release hinge that easily attaches dock sections together creating endless dock layouts. Simply float the dock sections into place, insert the pins in the hinge and install guide poles for easy installation.
FLOE offers an aluminum guide-pole and bracket system to secure and stabilize dock sections in depths up to 10 feet. The auger end on the guide-poles twist into the lake bottom and is secured to the floating dock by a bracket that allows the dock to smoothly raise and lower with water fluctuations.
Pilings and custom piling loops or a cable and anchor system can be used for floating dock sections in water depths greater than 10 feet.
FLOATING DOCK COMPONENTS
Floating Dock Sections
FLOE’s standard floating boat dock sections come in 3′, 4′, 5′, 6′ and 8′ widths and 16′, 20′ and 24′ lengths. Other standard components include: 8′ x 8′ decks, 4′ wedges and 12′ shore-end ramps. Custom length gangways can also be added as well as custom safety hand rails.
Approach Ramps and Gangways for Floating Docks
The gangway is designed to roll back and forth on the dock surface as the main dock floats up and down. It continuously provides a safe transition between the shore and dock. Gangways can be attached to a cement or wood structure using FLOE’s hinge system. Contact your dealer for gangway options.
Pivoting shore-end dock ramps give you the ultimate approach to your dock and additional length for less money. They sit on your shoreline and hinge to your first floating dock section.
FLOATING DOCKS SAMPLE LAYOUTS
Design any modular dock system you desire. Add dock sections and components as your needs grow or your budget allows. Contact your local FLOE retailer for details on the ideal floating dock layouts.
FLOE floating dock sections are available in the following lengths: 16′, 20′ & 24′. Each of these lengths is available in the following widths: 3′, 4′, 5′, 6′ & 8′.
12′ shore-end ramps are available in 3′, 4′, 5′ & 6′ widths. 9′ ramps are 8′ wide. Contact dealer for gangway options. Other standard floating dock components include 48” wedges and 8’x8′ decks.
FLOE’s modular engineering allows you to simply configure sections and add components where and when you want them, without any welding or drilling. You can get a custom system without the custom cost! Shown here are just a fraction of the commercial and/or residential systems you can create with FLOE’s modular components.
Floating docks do not use a rigid connection to the lake bottom with legs or posts so they will naturally have some give and/or sway as they are walked on. With a straight out floating dock, stability is improved by maximizing the dock width. It is recommended that 6′ or 8′ docks widths are used for straight dock systems. Sundecks or slips will improve stability of a floating dock system if they are connected with the hinge connector perpendicular to the narrow side of the main walkway.
These floating docks are great for:
- Lake Homes
- Town Houses
- Public or shared access lake lots
FLOATING DOCKS SPECIFICATIONS
Freeboard (dock height above water) is 16″ on docks with 12″ floats. If float upgrades are ordered, the freeboard will increase proportionately.
Aluminum Dock Decking
FLOE’s most popular decking! Maintenance-free aluminum decking has a long-lasting, baked on, anti-skid surface. The light-grey hue and open, ribbed underside allows air to move freely and cool the dock surface. The aluminum also assists in keeping the deck cool by conducting and transferring the water temperature to the deck.
Additional Decking Options Available
Custom decking options are available for custom order installations or for larger residential and commercial applications.
Contact a FLOE docks dealer to get more information on these options.
FLOE’s dock furniture includes 2 sturdy swivel/rocking chairs with foot rest and aluminum table with umbrella hole (umbrella sold separately). This furniture – with its maintenance-free sling fabric and aluminum frame – is great for entertaining and relaxing on the water. Styles and colors of chairs may vary.
Benches attach anywhere on the dock and come standard with two arm rests with cup holders. Available in Aluma-Grain™ and grey finish.
FISHING ROD HOLDER
The fishing rod holder simply slides into the channel on a FLOE vertical bumper.
Extra-long vertical grab handles give you leverage for easy dock access without taking up dock space. FLOE swim ladders attach anywhere on the dock. Available in 58″ & 70″ heights.
Soft PVC floating dock corner bumper rivets to deck surface and protects your watercraft from the corner of the dock.
FLOE’s heavy duty aluminum cleats are perfect for tying off your boat. Mounts to the frame of the dock or side mounts using a bracket. Side mount cleats work on roll-in and floating docks only.
The ultimate way to keep scratches off your prized possessions. Available in 30″ and 40″ heights. Recommended every 4′ to 6′ where boats will be parked and for use on corners. Attaches anywhere and has infinite vertical adjustment. Vertical bumpers are available in aluminum or with FLOE’s exclusive Aluma-Grain™ finish.
Bumper edging works great along the dock edge and as a bow protector when entering a slip. Bumpers are sold in sets of two 10’ lengths and work for roll-in, stationary and floating docks.
Handrails add safety, ease and access to your dock system. 42” high aluminum safety handrails are extra sturdy and have clean rounded radial corners. Handrails come in 4′, 6′, 8′, and 12′ lengths.
Telescoping pole raises and lowers in seconds with infinite adjustment. Aluminum pole goes through a mounted bracket and augers to the lake bottom. Includes globe and solar light that shines down on the flag. 3’x5′ flag sold separately.
